Business Awards Luncheon



Superior Business Solutions received the 2009 Director's Award For Community Leadership

The Allen County Solid Waste Management District will be hosting its 2010 Excellence in Recycling Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, August 18th at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.  This annual event recognizes the organizations in Allen County that make an effort to reduce, reuse and recycle in their workplace.  To nominate your organization please visit our website.  Entries must be received by Friday, July 30, 2010.

Tox-Away Day &
Tire Amnesty Day 
 

Mark you calendars and please notify employees about the following community events:
Tox-Away Day-Saturday, September 11, 2010 from 9:00am until 2:30pm.  Location to be announced two weeks prior to the event.  Bring us your unwanted household hazardous waste chemicals to this one-day event for recycling and proper disposal.  Minimal fees apply.
Tire Amnesty Day
-Saturday, October 2, 2010 from 9:00am until 12:00pm.  Location to be announced two weeks prior to the event.  Bring us your old and unwanted tires for recycling.  Neighborhood Association must pre-register. 

The District is always seeking volunteers from local businesses to assist with these community events.  Interested participants please contact us at info@acwastewatcher.org.

 
 

The Allen County Solid Waste Management District is looking for your input and feedback. Allen County businesses are strongly encouraged to take the Districts short survey.  Click here to participate!  Your opinions will help us continue to improve our recycling and waste reduction programs. 

In addition, the District has joined Facebook and is seeking friends and fans.  Check out our Facebook page for information regarding recycling and waste reduction programs and events offered in Allen County.

A new recycling drop-off location has opened in the parking lot behind Kroger at Southgate Plaza.  The community can continue to recycle glass, plastics #1 & #2, metal cans and paper products free of charge at any of the six locations around town.
